About Us

Woodhouse Academy is a Connecticut State Approved Special Education and therapeutic day school dedicated to supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe meaningful growth happens when learning and therapeutic support work together and when every student is understood as an individual.

Our small, supportive environment allows us to create personalized programs that help students build confidence, develop independence, and gain the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. Through strong academics, integrated therapeutic services, and a deeply collaborative team, Woodhouse Academy empowers students to navigate challenges and make real progress toward their goals.

Our Approach

Supporting the Whole Student

At Woodhouse Academy, our approach integrates rigorous academics with comprehensive therapeutic support. Each student’s program is thoughtfully designed around their unique strengths, needs, and goals, helping them grow academically while developing self-awareness, self-advocacy, and emotional regulation skills.

Through small class sizes, individualized instruction, and embedded therapeutic services, students gain the tools and confidence to apply what they learn in meaningful, real-world ways.

Our Team

Dedicated. Collaborative. Student-Focused.

Behind every Woodhouse student is a multidisciplinary team of educators, clinicians, and support staff working together to ensure coordinated, individualized care. Our teachers, licensed school social workers, administrators, and consultants collaborate closely with families, districts, and outside providers to create a consistent and supportive experience for each learner.

Together, we foster a culture built on trust, connection, and care. Ensuring students feel supported, understood, and challenged to grow.
